For our client in Basel (Switzerland) we are looking for a Business Operations Manager for a 1 year contract.
Duration: 15/07/2019 to 14/07/2020

Facilitates Business Operations and provides support for all communication, business planning and people processes, including but not limited to key events and people engagement, hiring and talent management. Supports the development and delivery of a range of communications projects in accordance to the defined strategy, acting as single point of contact for communications activities.
Execute and monitor timely activities related to assigned area of responsibility under the guidance and accountability of more senior associates.
Resnposibilities:
• Works in close collaboration with the Head of Business Operations to support on all the required activities to ensure smooth business operations in GCS (including overall operational rhythm and cycle in alignment to the company main processes);
• Support and facilitate communications globally by representing the Communications Team
• Support in defining Communication Plan, translating management messages and sharing them with associates by using various communication tools at every opportunity
• Develops and generates communications content, edits and compile newsletters, general com-munication and supports the creation of multimedia
• Responsible for managing, editing and designing content on Sharepoint and other commu-nication tools
• Conducts research and analysis and produces reports Internal communications, e.g. internal cli-mate and surveys, impact of internal communications events
• Supports in implementing and coordinating strategic organizational initiatives, change manage-ment and people engagement initiatives in
• Works as required to provide operational support for own management and team on ad hoc Inter-nal communications issues
• Interacts with internal stakeholders and provides Internal communications support to business leaders and teams, e.g. Human Resources
• Provides operational support for Internal communications events, such as on-site Town Hall meet-ings
• Works with external vendors on assigned events and projects (graphic agencies)
• Supports in developing, planning and monitoring of people management processes
• Supports cultural evolution and change management processes.
Requirements:
• Advanced degree in business administration, communications, human resources or relevant discipline.
• Fluent in English, local language desired
• +2 years of practical experience in chemical / pharmaceutical industry or +3 years of experience in field of expertise (candidates are likely to have worked in a business environment with Communications responsibilities)
• Excellent Computer literacy (e.g. Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Publisher, SharePoint and Adobe Photoshop)
• Experience of using social media platforms as a communications tool
• Basic project management, good organization and planning skills
• Problem-solving and idea generation skills
• Good presentation skills
