OBJECTIVES/PURPOSE
The job holder ensures the global consolidation of GMS global functions and will act as finance business partner supporting GMS Senior Management responsible global functions.
This role also plays a key role in global finance initiatives, supporting in particular integration activities and finance systems implementation.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Financial Reporting:
- Coordination and submission of financial results into Takeda reporting systems
- Support in general accounting and closing support
- Collection and analysis of data for consolidation and management reporting
- Coordination of monthly reporting to the GMS global functions heads
- Update and comment on the monthly KPI dashboard measuring the operational performance of the division
Business & Financial Planning:
- Perform planning activities, in particular annual budget, mid-year commitment, next year preview, latest best estimate, and mid-range plan
- Provide GMS global functions heads with financial expertise for short and mid-term cost estimate to deliver on GMS synergy targets
- Develop budget models and budget roll ups, facilitating the forecasting process across the organization
- Assess risks and opportunities in order to anticipate performance variances versus budget and forecasts
Business analysis & Decision Support :
- Actively support team members of corporate functions to achieve financial targets
- Develop analytics that help understand the key performance drivers
- Business partnering with the management team and other parts of the business to develop and implement action plans to drive performance and productivity
- Identify and roll out functional best practices globally
- Conduct ad hoc in-depth financial analysis to support business requirements or decision-making
DIMENSIONS AND ASPECTS
Technical/Functional (Line) Expertise:
- Breadth and depth of knowledge, application and complexity of technical knowledge
- In-depth knowledge of Financial reporting and analysis methodologies
- Strong analytical skill and ability to successfully manage, organize & analyse large volumes of data
- Experience with SAP, BI, HFM, TM1, Oracle preferred
- Excellent communication in English

EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:
- Education: Completed business studies with focus on management / accounting / controlling. CMA, CPA, Master in Finance or MBA education preferred
- Experience: +10 years of professional experience in a finance / controlling position, proficiency with MS Excel and Power Point is expected, solid knowledge of SAP would be an advantage
- Languages: Excellent English skills
